5/16 inch

The head size is 1/2 inch for the 5/16 inch lag bolts. We offer both plain and black oxide finishes. Be sure to call if you need a size we are not offering.

Hex lag bolts, often called a lag screw, are for fastening in wood.  Blacksmiths commonly use them to attach their ironwork in homes and on buildings or structures during installation.

*Note regarding Black Oxide finish* - This finish is *not* weather resistant and *will* rust if exposed to moisture. Please contact us if you have questions regarding exterior applications.


*Note regarding Plain Steel items* - Plain steel products such as wood screws may have surface rust. If this is not acceptable for your application please contact us.
