The #9 screw-on handle fits 14-18" tanged rasps and files. The Screw on type handle is made from white birch with a heavy steel gauge ferrule. The rasp screws onto a hardened steel insert inside the handle that cuts a thread on the file tang. The Ergonomic handle fits the farrier's palm for reduced muscle strain
